Center Street Luncheonette
Dating from 1670, the Center Street Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Lyman Hall, a native of Connecticut who moved to Georgia and was a signer of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, is memorialized here.
Also interred in Center Street Cemetery is Moses Yale Beach, newspaper publisher and founder of the Associated Press.The Cemetery hosts tours and events at various times during the year, and a self-guided walking tour is available.
